Alumnus David M. Dillon, FSA, Member of Society of Actuaries’ Board of Directors, and Senior Vice-President and Principal of Lewis & Ellis – Actuaries and Consultants
Dave joined Lewis & Ellis in 1999 specializing in health insurance and healthcare analysis. Dave currently focuses on healthcare reform issues, product development, and financial solvency and examinations.
Since the passage of the Affordable Care Act, Dave has assisted 15 states with health care reform issues. He currently serves 10 states as their rate reviewer and/or a healthcare reform adviser.
Dave is very involved in the affairs of his profession and the health insurance industry through his volunteer efforts. From 2015 to 2016, Dave served on the Society of Actuaries’ Health Section Council where he was Chair of the Council’s Strategic Initiatives committee. Since the beginning of 2017, Dave has led the SOA’s Strategic Initiative Commercial Healthcare: What’s Next?. In 2017, Dave was a recipient of the Society of Actuaries’ Outstanding Volunteer Award. Additionally, he was awarded Outstanding Session Awards for both the 2017 SOA Health and Annual Meetings. In 2018, he was elected to SOA's Board of Directors.
