2019 Homecoming! October 14-19. Kick-off Sweet Corn Roast, Field Day at Hubbard Park, Blood Drive, and of course the UI Parade!
Here are a few of our other events during Homecoming Week that we would invite faculty and staff to participate in:
Homecoming Kick-Off Sweet Corn Roast
Monday, October 14th from 4-6:00 PM on the Pentacrest. Come join Homecoming Council, and fellow Hawkeyes, for the newest and tastiest Homecoming tradition! Swing by the Pentacrest for free sweet corn and a little BBQ, and a whole lotta Hawkeye spirit! This will be a kickoff to a Hawkeye Homecoming like you have never seen! There will be food, fun, fellowship, and of course Herky! See you there!
Blood Drive
Tuesday, October 15th from 12-5:00PM in the 2nd Floor Ballroom of the IMU. Come out to the 2nd Floor Ballroom of the IMU to support a great cause in honor of the 2019 University of Iowa Homecoming week. UI blood drives have had great success in the past, so it's up to you to continue the tradition and help us get as many donations as possible!
Homecoming Field Day
Wednesday, October 16th from 3-5:00 PM in Hubbard Park. Join us for a bags/cornhole tournament, tug of war, and other yard games at Hubbard Park!
This event is open to all groups and individuals on campus. If you would like to enter a team for the bags/cornhole tournament, please contact the Campus Events Directors at kayla-cleland@uiowa.edu (Kayla Cleland) and kyleigh-davis@uiowa.edu (Kyleigh Davis)!
Cultural & Resource Centers Block Party

Homecoming Parade
Friday, October 18th starting at 5:45PM in Downtown Iowa City. More details here: https://homecoming.uiowa.edu/parade.
Volunteer with Us!
Sign up below to be a part of the best week on campus! Both students and faculty & staff are invited to volunteer and be involved with the Homecoming Parade. The duration of your volunteer commitment is one meeting at the beginning week of Homecoming Week (October 13th or 14th) and then assisting in the parade route on October 18th. There will be some great perks for all of your hard work!
Any questions, comments or concerns can be directed to the Volunteer Director, Courtney Nelson (courtney-nelson@uiowa.edu) or the Volunteer Assistant Director Ashlei Cashen (ashlei-cashen@uiowa.edu)
