Cigna Presentation: 3/26 (Tuesday) 6-7pm, 40 SH

A speaker from Cigna will come present about innovation in healthcare on March 26th. They will be giving out FREE Coaching Actuaries Adapt subscriptions to 2 random people who attend their presentation! More details about location and food will come soon.

Nationwide Emerging Actuaries Seminar: 3/29 (Friday), Des Moines

Nationwide will be hosting a free seminar for free on Friday, March 29th at their office in Des Moines. In order to attend the seminar, you must submit a resume and completed application, which is attached to this e-mail by Friday, March 1, 2019. If you are worried about missing class, I would encourage you to work with your professors so that you can attend. If you are selected to attend, the seminar itself is free, but Nationwide does not provide transportation from Iowa City to Des Moines. If you are interested in a carpool, please fill out this survey if you will need a ride or if you have a car and are willing to drive others! We will follow up and connect you with others who are interested in carpooling.

Excel Competition: 4/18 (Thursday), 6:30-8:30pm, VAN 350

The Excel competition will take place on Thursday, April 18th. There will be random participation prizes and 4 main prizes. Each division (no internship experience, internship experience, and graduate student) winner will receive a 90-day Adapt + Learn Coaching Actuaries subscription and the overall grand prize winner will receive a 180-day Adapt + Learn Coaching Actuaries subscription! Additionally, we will be providing Which Wich sandwiches thanks to our sponsors.

On top of the amazing prizes and food available at the competition, the Iowa Excel Competition is known by employers and is a great thing to talk about during interviews or on your resume. Even if you aren’t comfortable with Excel or haven’t been able to make it to the Excel workshops, the competition is still an amazing learning experience to get you exposed to the program.
