Our Ph.D. student Qian Tang won a Travel Award at the 2023 Statistics Annual Winter Workshop titled Modern Computational Statistics hosted by the statistics department at the University of Florida.

Qian won this travel award after competing with graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty from all over the country. She presented her work on a novel optimization algorithm for quantile regression as a poster.
