Announcement: Observational Studies: Design and Analysis Bootcamp

We are pleased to announce the second in a series of data science bootcamps offered by the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science. This bootcamp is open to all students enrolled in any degree program within the department, be it Data Science, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.

Bootcamp Overview

• Title: Observational Studies: Design and Analysis
• Duration: 7.5 hours
• Dates: Tuesdays, October 3, 10, and 17
• Time: 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. CST

Objectives

1. Introduction to observational data
2. Complex survey sample design and analysis
3. Addressing bias in observational studies
4. Causal inference methodologies

Prerequisites

This bootcamp assumes participants have completed either the first bootcamp in this series or the Pandas bootcamp offered in March earlier this year.
