The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track position in Actuarial Science at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 18, 2027.

Applicants must complete a PhD in Actuarial Science or a related area prior to August 18, 2027. Candidates must be free to assume the duties of this position and be legally able to work in the United States on that date. Excellent communication skills are essential. Associateship or Fellowship with the Society of Actuaries, the Casualty Actuarial Society, the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), or the Actuaries Institute of Australia is strongly preferred.
