Allianz Life Insurance Company
Work on meaningful projects that impact the business, gaining exposure to areas like actuarial science, finance, marketing, and technology. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and real-world application, Allianz Life’s internship program helps students build valuable skills and explore career paths within a Fortune 100-recognized company.
The Allianz Life Actuarial Internship program is 12 weeks long, beginning in May and concluding in August. Interns are not left to navigate this experience alone; each is thoughtfully paired with an intern manager who serves as a mentor and guide throughout the duration of their internship. This 1:1 mentorship model ensures interns receive individualized attention, support, and feedback, facilitating both professional and personal growth.
Myles Tague, Actuary, Profitability Management
"Actuaries are the lifeblood of our company and are asked to solve a multitude of problems across the organization."
Transamerica
At Transamerica, actuarial interns play a meaningful role in the work that supports our life insurance, annuities, and workplace retirement businesses. Interns gain hands on experience across areas such as portfolio management, risk management, asset liability management, product pricing, valuation, financial reporting, modeling, and experience studies.
Our 10 week summer program is designed to help students build both technical and professional skills. Interns participate in events with leaders across the company, take part in workshops focused on career development, and connect with peers through social activities and networking opportunities.
Every intern is paired with a manager and a mentor for personalized support. Managers help set goals, provide feedback, and ensure projects are meaningful. Mentors offer exam advice, insights on career paths, and guidance on navigating corporate life.
With a collaborative environment and exposure to real world actuarial work, interns leave the program with new skills, stronger confidence, and a clearer view of the many paths available in an actuarial career.
