Andy Ferris is Managing Director at the life insurance consulting practice of Deloitte, where he specializes in product, risk management, and operational excellence for life insurance companies. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, including roles as a management consultant, a direct employee of two life insurance companies, and various leadership roles for industry committees. 

At Deloitte, Andy currently leads the new business & underwriting practice for life insurance and annuities, focused on transforming new business and underwriting operations to deliver a digital, omni-channel customer experience for producers and applicants, enabled by a more efficient internal operating model, all while improving the risk assessment process. In addition, Andy serves as the chief actuary for the life insurance and annuities practice of Deloitte, ensuring quality across actuarial methods and approaches, professionalism, and education. Finally, Andy leads the Deloitte’s Risk, Capital and Regulatory practice, focused on delivering solutions in the areas of capital management, risk management, hedging, and other issues at the intersection of regulatory and economic risk. 

Throughout his career, Andy has been elected by his peers to serve on the board of directors of leading actuarial organizations, including the Society of Actuaries, the American Academy of Actuaries, and The Actuarial Foundation.
