How did you hear about the internship? 

Transamerica presented on about their internship opportunities (Airliner, free pizza ) and I attended the presentation. The employees that presented did a great job talking about their opportunities, Eastern Iowa presence, etc.

Why did you choose this particular internship? 

I'm from the Cedar Rapids area and was excited about local opportunities, and I wanted a life insurance track so it was a good fit.

Why should Iowa students consider participating in this internship?

Transamerica offers a variety of opportunities for actuaries across multiple lines of business (life, annuity, retirement), across a number of departments (actuarial, but also pricing, business finance, risk etc.). I've been fortunate to have about 7 different roles with the company over my 20 years here and get to learn something new whenever I'm ready.
