Michael Garvin (Garv) is currently the chief actuary of Business Owner Solutions with Principal Financial Group. He joined Principal in 2002 as an actuarial student and has performed several pricing, product development, financial reporting, risk management, and leadership roles for retirement, annuity, life, and disability products. Additionally, Garv has worked with investor relations and spent time based in Santiago, Chile as the CFO – Latin America Region. He earned his B.S. in Actuarial Science from The University of Iowa.
