The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science is committed to facilitating a friendly, and formative academic environment as well as a congenial work environment conducive to furthering the departmental mission: student learning, teaching, creative research and service to the profession and society at large.

Plans for this environment within the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science:

• The Student Life and Learning consists of three faculty members, at least three or four students, and one staff member. The committee is charged how to promote thriving student life and learning.
• The departmental Executive Committee will annually review departmental policies related to the work environment for the faculty.
• The DEO will work with the Departmental Administrator to annually review the work environment issues pertaining to the staff.
