Alex Liebrecht

Biography

Alex Liebrecht is currently a lecturer in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa.

He earned a PhD and MS from University of Iowa, a MS from Illinois State University, and a BS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His research interests are Bayesian hierarchical modeling, spatio-temporal statistics, environmental statistics, and statistical education.

Prior to being a lecturer for University of Iowa, Alex taught high school for four years in the Des Moines area where he became passionate about teaching and sharing statistical knowledge with students.
