Luke Tierney was one of seven University of Iowa faculty members named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2021. AAAS is the world’s largest general-scientific society and publisher of the journal science.

Students in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science were named to the board to help students learn more about the profession.

Josh Zhiwei Tong will join the University of Iowa Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science in spring 2022 as an assistant professor.
